Sun and beaches Route

El Salvador has a coastline of over 300 kms of extension in which you will find beautiful beaches of golden and black sands, with very friendly waters all year round, surfing waves of international quality, rocky reefs for diving and snorkeling, a beautiful bay and estuaries with gentle waves, excellent for water sports.

Eastern Area Beaches: Jiquilisco bay: Beautiful place to sail, go offshore, Ramsar Site and Biosphere Reserve, Playa El Espino:one of the most extensive in the country with friendly waves, and wide beach ideal for sports like volleyball beach, Football etc. Beach Las Flores: Great waves for surfing, The Cuco: beautiful beach for family holidays, Las Tunas: beach ideal for snorkeling The Tamarindo, with gentle waves and the possibility of sailing or rowing.

Archaeological Route

Represents an approach to one of the most advanced cultures of humanity: the Mayan culture, know the only place in the Maya world where you can see the daily life of its inhabitants and has been declared a world heritage site: Joya de Ceren, as well as monumental sites, ceremonial centers and museums, is a journey into the past something very interesting and cultural.

Joya de Ceren: declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1993, known the Domestic Architecture of the Mayan, as well as beautiful samples of ceramics, this park has a wide Archaeological Museum, guides and trails. Located 36 km from San Salvador.

San Andrés: Ceremonial Site, Political Center and place of Astronomical observations. Could have governed the Valley of Zapotitán it has pyramidal structures and is currently a place of archaeological research, In its area there is the remains of a mill indigo that was buried by the eruption of El Playon in 1658 and flooded by the waters of the Rio Sucio.

City Santa Ana: Visit their Historical Center, Its Neo Gothic Cathedral built between 1905 and 1922, Its beautiful theater that in February of 2010 celebrated 100 years of built and decorated with exquisite detail created by renowned Italian architects and artists, Its Municipal Palace elegant design that dates back to 1874.

Tazumal: Ceremonial Site, which has the highest known pyramid in El Salvador with 24 meters height. In the museum there is a 4-sided stone sculptures with embossed found in 1942 and dating 800 BC approx. There is an interesting archaeological museum with many jewels.

White House: Archaeological Park with a number of pyramids, museum, and an exciting interactive workshop of dyed with indigo (Indigo) where you can design your own drawings for translate them in garments.
